Our Team

Safiya Ibn Garba DTRF is the Convener of KATT and a social impact, peacebuilding and thought leader and practitioner with almost 3 decades of experience.

Safiya has been bestowed multiple awards and recognition since 2020 for her work in the social impact space including a Desmond Tutu Reconciliation Fellowship (DTRF) and Outstanding Citizen Honour Award by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Ladan is a passionate Human Rights advocate and Communications Specialist with vast experience leading impactful initiatives across Africa.

Currently serving as the Senior Programme Officer Communications at Empowering Women for Excellence Initiative (EWEI) Nigeria, Ladan drives strategic advocacy efforts, managing digital platforms, designing communication materials, coordinating media outreach, and amplifying the voices of marginalised groups, particularly women and youth. His work focuses on using digital storytelling and policy-driven campaigns to advance human rights, gender equity, and inclusive governance.
